Collaging a blank

I enjoy sending letters to my pen-pals in collage art envelopes.  Occasionally I spend one or two days creating mail art envelope blanks en masse and end up with 2 to 2-1/2 dozen of them for future use.  I use “greeting card” envelopes sized 5-3/4″ x 8-3/4″.  That size is nice because it holds 8-1/2″ x 11″ paper that has been folded once across the middle.  It is also a very decent size for the materials I work with:  reclaimed images from travel magazines and cruise catalogs; scrap and patterned papers; and washi tape.  Finished off with a blank address label, the envelopes just need a letter and a stamp so that they’re ready to go.
